“it takes many suns and moons
for my brain to realize
that
my brown hands keep pushing my life
for the last few months
following 4 years of college
that peel my skin off like a carrot
to jump on a slippery bullet train
going 100 miles per hour
towards my dream

does not work

my life
fatigued
shaking
and confused
without necessary equipment
to even get a finger on the train
not ready

but today
i realize
the train
racing towards my dreams
always there

but my life and me
we
not ready
not ready

not yet
